April 19, 2024 we get to witness once again an album's worth of synergetic equations to the max bestowed upon us with the fourth album HEADS I WIN, TAILS YOU LOSE (and also three EPs if you include Greneberg with Roc Marciano) by the well-known talented duo Gangrene (Oh No (Disrupted Studios) and The Alchemist (ALC Records)). No matter what the last project or feature was these two are meticulously dangerous with both known talents showcased in their music. Now if you already heard the new album as of April 10, 2024, thanks to The Alchemist allowing fans to purchase an early digital album release (HERE) with bonus tracks (not available on streaming when officially released April 19, 2024) then you're familiar with these two songs "Oxnard Water Torture" and "Magic Dust" featuring Evidence (Bigger Picture Recordings) that differ in BPMs and similar in the concocted dirty work accomplished. Both were released within two weeks (April 5th & 18th) of each other this month. Gangrene continues to show why their trade-off style under metaphysical bars is a mainstay during the liquid-infused flow on "Oxnard Water Torture". This track has a haunting chopped vocal mesmerizes the thumping drums with sounds similar to an old squealing heavy factory door or similar sounds of Freddy Krueger's knife-laden glove screeching across metal in the boiler room. As a German car and ICE (In Car Entertainment) enthusiasts to hear the ALC line "...Recline Recaro Seats in a Jetta with the Rockford Fosgates..." was dope! Mr. Slow Flow himself Evidence jumps in with life jewels on the last verse of "Magic Dust" right after Gangrene slang a slew of raw tough as nails lyrics throughout the dark scenic night of the music video.
