Dango Forlaine & Ra - The Jam (Produced by Ra) (Album)

Now this is how you celebrate your birthday. The release of The Jam on March 21, 2021, marked Detroit Emcee, Dango Forlaine's cycle around the sun once again. Dango Forlaine aka SWAN (Bird Ash Ninjas (BAN)) onslaught of quality music keeps listeners vibing.

2020 showed off the lyrical dexterity SWAN possesses with the CARHARTT TAPE EP in conjunction with Pennsylvania Producer, The Agent and the ill tandem of Dango and Junii (Detroit Emcee_Producer_Singer_Engineer_BAN) on The Soap Tapes Vol. 1 & 2. To hold over the supporters until The Jam arrived, the surprise EP The Master with Camden, N.J. Producer, Mute Won dropped on March 10, 2021.

The impeccable chemistry with his friend and Detroit Producer, Ra is so evident on The Jam. Ra not only has various soul samples chopped to perfection, he also shows off transitions with drums at various tempos that makes me appreciate the album even more. When you witness the album cover you see the style of the album title's name along with the basketball reminding us of the widely popular early 1990's video game NBA Jam rereleased many times on home consoles. Excerpts from the game, life experiences and Dango's basketball references run throughout the album as his flow is entertainingly intense akin the two-on-two matchups in the video game. Showing no shortage of talent and joining in on the fun or I should I say The Jam are Ronnie Alpha (Detroit Producer/Emcee/Golden Armada) and W3$. This album is still only the beginning for two of Detroit's rising gifted young men.

Listen and share below.

Also witness the new music video below for "ZEBRAPRINT" featuring Ronnie Alpha and directed by Callbackboard (The Glass Experience).
